Youths Fledgling season so far

10 months ago By Jack McCann

Details of the Juniors first couple of weeks and what is to come for the rest of the biggest season yet!

Total number of Youths from Friday to Sunday (last weekend) - 337
Two weeks into the start of the new season and the club is buzzing again with the excitement, fun and hard work of our Youths.
We have our biggest group of Under 8 boys with 24 1st and 2nd class boys training every Saturday between 9.15am and 10.15am - this group is full. At the other end of the scale the Under 16 currently have 41 on the register with 10 of them currently training with Leinster squads.
Our biggest switch this year has been a seen increase in the 6th class and 1st Year squads from 24 to 30 (league squad sizes) and our Minors (2nd) and Inters (3rd/4th) are currently full, with 32 girls.
We currently have 18 GAISCE students helping with our squads, who have attended two training sessions during the summer to increase their knowledge and understanding of coaching.

Dates for the diary/Parents Meetings
This year we are hosting our Parents Meetings over the weekend of the 15th September.
Under 16 Boys and Girls - Friday 15th at 7.30pm in the clubhouse
Under 8/10/12 Boys - Saturday 16th at 10.30am in the clubhouse
Under 14 Boys - Saturday 16th at 5.30pm in the clubhouse
1st to 5th Class Girls - Sunday 17th September at 10.30am in the clubhouse
6th Class and 1st Year Girls - Sunday 17th September at 12.00pm in the clubhouse
2nd Year Girls - Sunday 17th September at 11.30am in the clubhouse
We will have more information for you to digest and hopefully by then have Team Managers in place and have all your answers to your questions.

Kit order: the kit order has been placed and will hopefully arrive for this weekend.
Weekend of the 22nd of September: PLEASE REMEMBER THERE IS NO TRAINING

Please be advised that if training needs to be cancelled at any time (coaches, weather, pitch not available) we will do this over social media - both Facebook and Twitter.
If you use these outlets you are advised to like and follow the club at the following addresses:
Facebook rsHC/
this should bring you to the home page has a picture of the clubhouse on the right hand side and wording "celebrating 125 years".
We found last year that this was the quickest way to reach everyone, we will also try to email, however not everyone looks at emails first thing on a Saturday or Sunday morning. We will endeavour to make a decision by:
Under 16 Boys - 6.00pm
Under 16 Girls - 7.15pm
Saturday mornings - 8.00am
Sunday mornings - 8.30am (this will be reviewed as the morning goes on) or earlier if possible
We suggest that if you don't use social media that you arrange with a friend of the family to contact you.
Fixtures: these will be arranged by the end of the month and we will of course pass the dates onto you once we have them.
