Supporters have to plan too!! This information gives supporters a basis upon which they can plan. Ali Keogh has done all the digging, kudos to her!!

The mens 1st XI team will participate in KO16 of the EHL in Rotterdam during Easter 2018. The schedule for the competition will not be announced until approximately November 2017, however the competition will run from Friday March 30th to Monday April 2nd. With this in mind, due to the likely demand for accommodation during that weekend, we have pulled together a number of hotel options for people to choose from, alongside some other useful information regarding the tournament venue etc.

The tournament takes place in Rotterdam H.C., which is situated in Hazelaarweg 2, 3053 PM, Rotterdam, approximately 6km from the city center.

Transport to venue
The club is best accessed via the city’s tram lines from the city center. Trams 20 and 25 leave from Central Station in the city center. Visitors should take the trams heading towards Schiebroek and get off at the Larikslaan stop which leaves you into a housing estate. From there it is a 15 minute walk to the club. Alternatively, Bus 35 leaves North Station and Station Alexanderpolder. If using the bus take the Hazelaarweg stop.

There are very few hotel options within walking distance of the venue. Given the best access to the ground is through the Tram Lines we have pulled together a number of hotel options within the city center, 1km or closer to Central Station. At this stage, these are options for people to investigate. Should supporters begin to book venues, please let us know so that we can track the bookings and attempt to help get as many supports as possible in the same location. The options on this list are for hotels only and are limited to those close to Central Station. Other options may be available, while Air BnB and hostels can be investigated by individual supporters should they wish, as there is obviously no obligation to stay at any of these and offer free cancellation on many bookings if you wish to place a booking but are not sure of your availability yet. All prices below are for four nights, from Thursday the 29th of March to Monday the 2nd of April and include taxes.

Match schedule
The tournament draw is expected to be made in December of this year. It is only at that point that we will know the time and dates of matches. The tournament format will mean that the men will play a single knock out game either on Friday the 30th of March, or Saturday the 31st of March. From previous years, the first game of the Friday is usually scheduled for 10.30am (local time).
Should the men win their game they progress immediately to the quarter final on either Sunday the 1st of April (if they played on Friday) or Monday the 2nd of April (if they played on Saturday). From previous years, the last game on Monday is usually scheduled for approximately 3.30pm (local time). Should the men lose their first game, they will play a subsequent second game which will not be televised, and which we do not know the date or schedule of yet. We will confirm the schedule once it is announced.
