A second club has withdrawn from the EuroHockey Indoor Club Challenge I reducing the competition to a 6 team single group round robin tournament.

This will ease pressure on Three Rock Rovers as they can now compete knowing that relegation from Challenge I to Challenge II is not possible. The original Turkish and Serbian teams who withdrew will now occupy 7th & 8th spot and thus be relegated to Challenge II for 2011.

The revised schedule for the 2010 European Indoor Hockey Champions Challenge I has been announced. All qualifying teams have been grouped together in a single pool where they will play five matches round robin to determine final placings.

This will result in two matches on day 1 and 2 with a final group match on day 3 in Bologna.
